Simple Ride-Jump

Simple ride jump in SM Lucena City is the number one fun or amusing for the kids. Everytime that we go to SM, Vince really enjoyed watching the simple ride jump, he likes to play but he is very young that time. In a few months when Vince and I went to SM together with my hubby, Vince really enjoys to watch balloon this is the additional amusing for the kids and very entertaining. Then I let Vince to play the simple ride-jump but he needs my hubby to take care of him. The entrance is very expensive for me :-), for the 20 minutes is cost Php 60.00, 1 hour is cost Php 100.00 and the unlimited hours is cost Php 200.00. Then I have chosen to be 20 minutes only. My hubby and Vince were really enjoyed to play :-), and the 20 minutes is short for the playing of Vince. I say that we are in this place again. And I am glad to say that he did to understand for me :-).

Here are some photos I took.

Halo-Halo

Today is summer season and the favorite way to beat the people this summer heat, is one big serving of Halo- halo . Halo-halo is known as a Filipino dessert or snack and it is quite easy to prepare as most of its ingredients are readily available. It is usually a mixture of sweet preserved like beans, macapuno or coconut milk, jackfruit pinipig, sweet yam ube, leche flan, shreds of sweetened plantain or saba, filled with crushed ice, evaporated milk and topped with ice cream It is a traditional Filipino summer treat in the Philippines.

If you will go somewhere you’ll find a Halo-Halo, because halo-halo is very popular during summer time. You will see Halo-Halo in the street/in store, in the restaurant but they have different ingredients as you can see the regular and special Halo-Halo or you can make it easy to do it your own Halo-Halo. Today I eat two times halo-halo, I buy to my neighbor it cost P15.00 or less than $.5. They have a simple recipe but having a strong smell and the sweetened is exactly to the taste. They have a simple mixture of preserved, like beans, sweet banana, pinipig, gelatin, mongo, ube and of course the evaporated milk. My hubby and I are the number one regular customer in my neighbor. He asks me it is a simple Halo-Halo, but it’s creamy and the sweetness is exactly to the taste.

Gift Ideas For Wedding

Today I went to the mall together with my hubby to find great gift idea for the wedding of my cousin. The bride and groom (my cousin) invited us to their wedding located at Santa Rosa Laguna. The distance between Lucena to Santa Rosa Laguna it’s almost four hours, It’s 68 kilometres (42.2 miles) from there.

For me it’s time to find the gift because tomorrow March 24, 2012 was the wedding day celebration of the two couple. Anyway about the gift, I have no any idea what kind of gift to buy for the groom and bride. There are many choices of gifts that won’t be seen in the mall. My first idea is the personalized gift; like towel seat with their initials embroidered on it, personalized wine glasses, decorative soap for their bathroom. But according to my hubby he suggest me appliances, I think this is the best gift ideas for wedding. Here are some charming wedding gift ideas that even you’d want for …like clocks, electric fans, oven toaster, rice cooker and such are also nifty gifts for the couple. My final choice is electric fan because it’s a necessity and it’s summer time today.

PINTADOS DE PASI FESTIVAL 2012 on ILO-ILO CITY, hosted by kapuso mo, Jessica Sojo on GMA 7

I watched the Kapuso mo, Jessica Sojo tonight on GMA 7, I really enjoy and amazed on her topic about the Pintados De Passi Festival in Ilo-IloCity. According to her and my research the Pintados De Pasi Festival held every 3rd week of March is perhaps one of the best known and established festivals of the Province of Iloilo that have evolved through the years. It has played a big part in the lives of most Passinhons. Performers adorned in traditional tattoo with elaborate
geometrical designs in their body, including their arms, legs, and torso dramatizes stories in which the town’s ancestral beings laid down every feature of the area, especially their way of life. It includes Garden Show and Food Festival, the Karosa Parada and Carabao-Painting Contest; the Grand Coronation Night for the Search for Binibining Pintados; Sinadysa sa Suba and the Pinta Lawas Contest, and the much awaited Tribe Competition.

Here are some photos that I captured in google, the colorful carabao- painting contest and traditional tattoo that I really amazed and very nice competition to Pintados De Pasi Festival 2012 onIlo-IloCity, hosted by kapuso mo, JESSICA SOJO on GMA 7.

Ampalaya Vegetable Recipe and Pandan Leaves

Based on my research, Ampalaya is a vegetable grown throughout the Philippines. It is mostly cultivated, although wild forms can be found. It grows wild in the remote areas of Mt.Banahaw. As the English name suggests (bitter melon), the melon has a bitter taste due to the presence of momordicin. There has been much research done on the effectiveness of using Momordica Charantia in the treatment of diabetes. It has been shown to increase production of beta cells by the pancreas, thereby improving the body’s ability to produce insulin. It has been recommended by the Department of Health of thePhilippines, as one of the best herbal medicines for its ability to help with liver problems, Diabetes and HIV. It is a common herb used in Chinese herbology. In thePhilippines, the leaves are often used for children’s coughs. It is also used in the treatment of skin diseases, sterility in women, as a parasiticide, as an antipyretic, and as a purgative.

Anyway, I prepared ginisang ampalaya dish for my lunch; it is very simple dish for me. First step, Slice the ampalaya lengthwise then crape out the white membrane with spoon or with a knife. Second step, slice the ampalaya thinly, then rub the slices with rock salt and soak in water for 15 to 20 minutes. It helps cut the resentment of the vegetable. Then wash the ampalaya afterwards. I prepare the “sangkutsa.” Crush 2 cloves of garlic. Dice one small onion. Add ¼ kl. liver of chicken or its up to you if you want to add tomato. Pour oil in a heated pan. Slide in your onions. When transparent, stir in the garlic, followed by the liver. Stir in the ampalaya slices. Cook for about 2-3 minutes. I also add about 1/4 cup of water for a little broth. Then add a tablespoon of patis and pepper. When ampalaya is quite tender, stir in the beaten eggs and cook for another 5 minutes. Do not over cook the vegetable so it will still have a distinct crunchy taste when you eat. Then it’s ready to be served.

The other plants is known pandan leaves, it is a type of plant that grows in tropical areas ofAsia. Pandan leaves have a sweet, unique flavor that is commonly used in rice and to enhance both desserts and savory dishes. The leaves are long and bright green, and when pounded or ground, they lend a sweet taste and aroma to many desserts and some drinks.

Protecting Your Day Bed

If you have company regularly you may want to consider getting a day bed. If you don’t have a guest room or your guestroom won’t accommodate as many guests as you’re expecting, it’s an all-in-one solution. While it’s always good to have an air mattress on hand as well, day beds are a lot more comfortable and can serve as a sofa as well.

One of the things you’ll need to keep in mind when you are considering a daybed is keeping it clean. If you have children, you know how difficult it can be to keep a sofa clean. This goes without saying if you have animals as well. Since your guests are going to be sleeping on this bed, and you are going to be using it as a sofa by day, you’ll need to get some kind of spread to put over it to protect it. One big spill over an unprotected daybed can ruin the mattress pretty quickly.

You’ll want to look for spreads that are durable and resistant to spills. If you can’t find one that is already treated, you can purchase your own can of spray protectant for the spread. It will be easier to clean for small messes and you can simply throw it in the washing machine for larger spills.

You’ll also want to find a spread that will fit into your decor nicely and blend in with color and design of the room. Fortunately, spreads for day beds come in a wide range of colors, fabrics and designs. Since you want the bed to look like a sofa, you’ll want to find a spread that doesn’t look like something you’d put onto a bed.

Your guests are going to be sleeping on your day bed so it is not a good idea to use the spread on the sofa for their sleeping needs. When they are not resting on the bed you’ll probably want to make it into a sofa again and lay the spread out for the daytime hours. Your guests would not appreciate sleeping with something that has been sat on all day by other people.

Day beds are the perfect solution when company’s coming and you don’t want to resort to an air mattress. You’ll be able to get full use of it by day as a sofa and then converted it to a bed at night for your visitors.
