Vigan Ilocos Norte

This is a part of our short vacation in Ilocos Norte last holey week 2016. My family was eaten dinner at Vigan Crisologo St. in Ilocos Norte. We tried to taste the food specialty there like bagnet and longanisa. Anyhow Vigan is the most popular and class City in the province of Ilocos in the Philippines. Vigan Ilocos Norte is known the New 7 Wonders Foundation president and founding member Bernard Weber led a ceremony held at St. Paul Cathedral where he handed a bronze plaque to Vigan Mayor Eva Grace Singson-Medina, signifying the heritage city’s election as one of the world’s wonder cities.

Anyhow, we really enjoy during short vacation there, we visit the Baluarte which is attraction in Vigan, it offers a mini zoo, resort complex that lies in hectares of land, and a butterfly farm. Chavit’s home in Vigan, Ilocos Sur, is one of the top tourist destinations in Ilocos Sur. It stands on a hill and provides an awesome panoramic view of the city. The Baluarte is approximately 20 hectares with a mini zoo, shooting range, and a chapel, among others. Access to the mini zoo, where Chavit’s numerous pets can be found is free for everyone, as the respectable gentleman considers this as a gift to the people.

Another beautiful tourist spot that we visited is bell tower. It is called the Bantay Belfry because it is located in the Bantay district of Vigan. According to my research the historians Galende and Javellana the builders feared that the enormous belltower, which doubled as an observation tower, would squash the church in the event it collapse during an earthquake. So they built it away from the main building. Compared to the customary church towers built (usually attached to the main building) during that same century, these towers in Ilocos are distinct because they were designed to perform multiple functions. From this belltower one could see a fantastic view of the town, including Vigan, the vast western seas and the mountains in the east.

Kwebang Lampas in Pagbilao, Quezon

Kwebang Lampas is located in Pagbilao, Quezon. This is the one most attractive and hidden place in Quezon Province. My family planned to celebrate the birthday of my father in Kwebang Lampas. It’s almost 3 hours from Lucena City. We are very exciting to see the puting buhangin in kwebang lampas because all of us are very familiar the place. Even though we are all from Quezon Province but we are not familiar the place to got there. So here are the some photos taken to go in Kwebang Lampas.
01The beach is small and some tourists go there to see the very nice place. But the amenities are not complete or in other word no electricity, no lights at night, no comport rooms, no shower room because the place is not developed but has sufficient signal for Globe and Smart and maybe Sun Cellular. The cave is very nice, sand is white and the water surrounded is very clear, cold and refreshing especially inside the cave. I forget to bring my camera inside the cave because I really enjoy going there. Well, back to the facilities after the swimming I need to shower but I said no shower room so we also bought the water 50pesos per 1 container. It’s hard for me to go there 🙁 because it’s very far from the highway and we need to rent the boat 2 times to go in kwebang lampas. But if you want to relax and to go the island like a paradise no, lights, no, comport rooms, no pollution the place is perfect for you 🙂 .

The Laperal White House in Baquio City

Baguio is one of the famous cities in the Philippines and has been celebrated as the Summer Capital of the Country. It is a highly urbanized City located in the Province of Benguet in northern Luzon Island of the Philippines. Aside from that the tourist can enjoy feel fresh all day and surely feel comfortable because of the good weather condition are cool and refreshing.

Last holly week, our family spent a short vacation in Baguio City, actually it’s almost 4 times to visit that place. But this is the first to visit the Laperal white house in Baguio City. The Laperal White House looks like a charming, quaint Victorian house when viewed from the street. Located in #14 Leonard Wood Road, the white house has been a significant landmark in the area for many years now. The house is known for its alleged spirit invasion, which has attracted many people on a quest for paranormal haunt and the Laperal White House retains its own charm of mystery and intrigue.

Gallery of Bamboo Business tycoon Lucio Tan bought the property sometime in 2007. Since then, the house has been maintained and restored. In 2013, it was transformed into a gallery of Filipino artworks based on bamboo and wood. The Ifugao Bamboo Carving Gallery is a joint project of the Tan Yan Kee Foundation and the Philippine Bamboo Association. For an entrance fee of Php 50.00, visitors are welcome to take a look and take a photo inside the house. Today, the house is the home of bamboo artworks and installations. It’s a must-visit for bamboo craft enthusiasts. But despite its renovation, many people are insistent of the gloomy atmosphere that pervades the house, especially for those attuned to the supernatural.
