KAMAYAN SA PALAISDAAN IN LUCBAN, QUEZON

Kamayan sa Palaisdaan in Tayabas, Quezon is very popular in Quezon, Province. This is along the high-way of Lucban, Quezon. It can be described as a floating restaurant, because it surrounded by water, and the walkway is made up of bamboo tree. The surroundings are very native Filipino with many Nipa Hut replicas all over the place where a group of people can choose to eat their lunch and dinner. They have a mini zoo, fish pond, live band in the evening at the El Pescado Bar Cafe, and place when you can celebrate the birthday party or weeding and etc. The place also represents what its name suggests, Kamayan sa Palaisdaan or eating with bare hands in a fish ponds. Because most of all residents in Quezon, Province used bare hands to eat. This place is very attractive, you can feel the good atmosphere and very comfortable place. The food is very yummy and native, like Ginataang Tilapia, Sinigang, Ihaw-ihaw at iba pa!

Anyway, my co-officemate was inviting us to treat her first salary in her new job here in Kamayan sa Palaisdaan. We ordered ginataang tilapia, sinigang na hipon, inihaw na spyribs. After a heavy dinner we proceed to the El Pescado Bar Café and we ordered 6 bottles of Tanduay Ice. We really enjoy as group date in this place.

Tree planting

Tree planting is very important. Trees have always played an important part in people’s lives, from providing shade and maintaining the beauty of the place to fruits and flowers that attract to each other. Whenever you are around trees you feel a sense of peace and calm and more importantly, protection. If you are concerned about saving the planet, then tree planting is what you should be considering on top priority. Because today they have many calamities like typhoon Sendong attack in our country. Trees are very important to prevent the typhoon or other calamities and it is part of every community. Our streets, parks, playgrounds and backyards are lined with trees that create a peaceful, aesthetically pleasing environment. Hoping that many people have a discipline and they always think that the nature is important especially to all illegal loggers. Because anytime we don’t know what will happen to us.

Last Aug. 8, 2010 we have a tree planting project with the support of DENR in Atimonan, Quezon. It is a project of our company that all the staff is always cooperates to this project. It is very nice project; hope that all the company like this…

Here’s the photo of JCPC company tree planting project.

CHOCOLATE HILLS

The Chocolate Hills is a popular tourist Philippines destination in Bohol. The hills range from 30 to 150 meters high and are covered in green grass, which turns to brown during dry season, making them look like chocolate mounds.

TARSIER

Tarsier is very peculiar small animal and have a big eye.. In fact it is one of the smallest known primates, no larger than a adult men’s hand. Mostly active at night, it lives on a diet of insects. Folk traditions sometimes have it that tarsiers eat charcoal, but actually they retrieve the insects from (sometimes burned) wood.

LOBOC RIVER

The Loboc River is a river on Bohol Island, the Philippines. It is one of the major tourist destinations of Bohol, local and foreigners alike. The winding river plays host to cruises on board of small bancas or floating restaurants. Visitors are treated to a vista of lush tropical vegetation such as nipa palms, coconut trees, banana groves, and bushes.

Most of the floating restaurant treat their guests with Boholano songs played by in-boat bands during the cruise. The trip winds up the river and ends at theBusayFalls which is only one and a half meter at most. Here, the guests are treated to rondalla music by a local rondalla group housed under a floating cottage.

BUSAY FALLS

Busay Falls are the destination of the floating restaurant trips starting from Loboc. The falls are 12 meters wide and fall about 4 meters, but after the wonderful trip and certainly advisable on Loboc river fall a bit behind expectation.

BACLAYON CHURCH

Baclayon Church is the second oldest church in the Philippines and it is located in the town of Baclayon n Bohol. Baclayon is a short 6-km trip from Tagbilaran City, the capital of Bohol. From Tagbilaran, you can get a jeepney or bus ride bound for Baclayon. You may also hire a tricycle in Tagbilaran to bring you there.

The Baclayon Church carries with the Spanish past of the country. Though the very first Spanish missionaries arrived in 1595, the construction of the church began only in 1717. It took 10 years for the Filipino to complete the church under forced labor.

Baclayon Church is made of coral stone, cut into blocks and piled atop each other. To move the heavy stones from tree to the building site, native workers had to use bamboos. It is said that millions of egg whites were used to cement the coral stone blocks together.

PUEBLO PORLA PLAYA

I was searching my photo albums in my facebook. The photo below was taken at Pueblo Porla Playa Resort, Pagbilao, Quezon. My hubby and I decided to go in Pueblo Porla Playa to look the stunning place, together with my niece. Pueblo Porla Playa is a 12 hectare, first rate Mexican inspired residential and country club tucked away in Pagbilao Cove whose water ranges from emerald green to dark blue with its gentle surf lapping the white sands.

The fruits provide the same nutritional value as potatoes. They can be eaten raw or cooked into various traditional Filipino desserts and dishes like Maruya, Turron, Halo-halo and Ginanggang.

This resort and hotel is the perfect tropical paradise. Once you get in, you’re for a vacation that refreshes and invigorates even the most jaded souls with the legendary Mt.Banahaw looming in the distance. It’s reveal in the cool waters of spring-fed swimming pools.

Some of my high school classmates and I had a get-together after the alumni at Nawawalang Paraisao Resort and Hotel. We celebrate there because it’s convenient for more of us. Our get together, great way to share memories, catch up with news and rekindle friendships and etc. High school life will bring back memories and fill our life with happiness. This is the first time we meet my high school classmate based on the different countries. It’s a great feeling to see familiar faces from one of the happiest periods of my high school life.

Everyone’s of my classmate doing a different thing but one thing we have in common is leading a happy family life. Some are in the corporate, some have their own business, architect, teacher, some are stay at home, some are still single .Generally, we all are thankful for the blessings and times like what we are having to see each other again to catch up, recall the happy past we had and just be there and have fun with everyone else.
