Kung Hei Fat Choi

This is late post; I want to post my nephew Vince, the photo taken last year in SM Lucena. I remember my nephew Vince and I missed him so much, almost 4 years that I cared for him. After how many years I returned him to my sister which is the mother of Vince. Every time that I remember him I already opened my album in facebook account to see him.

Happy Valentines

Happy valentines to all you guys. Valentines Days is fast approaching, this coming 14th day of February is celebrates the hearts day or the day of romance. It is celebrated in many countries around the world, although it is not a public holiday in most of them. Based on my research Valentine’s Day is a symbols that are used today include the heart shaped outline, doves, and the figure of the winged Cupid. Since the 19th century, handwritten valentines have given way to mass produced greeting cards. Anyhow, Valentines Day costumes developed in early modern England and spread through the Anglosphere in the 19th century. In the later 20th and early 21st centuries, these customs spread to other countries, but their effects has been more limited that those of Halloween or than aspects of Christmas, such as Santa Claus. Due to a concentrated marketing effort, Valentine’s Day is celebrated in some East Asian counties with Chinese and South Koreans spending the most money on Valentines gifts.

The photo below is my friend Jessica and I; she visited to me last Feb. 1, 2016 in my house. We already missed to each other because it’s almost 3 years to meet each other again. She lives at 11am in Manila so she traveled for almost 5 hours including traffic, she came here at 4pm in Pagbilao, province of Quezon. Because the Valentine is coming, we already drank 2 bottle of red horse. Off course we don’t’ forget to take a photo. I want to say thank you Jessica for visiting me. Until next time 🙂 .

SAGALA 2013

Sagala or Santacruzan is a popular religious festival held in many towns and cities throughout the Philippines as the highlight of the month-long celebration of Flores de Mayo during the month of May. It is usually celebrated with a parade of decorated floats and elaborately dressed characters, representing various aspects of the Virgin Mary and other figures. The festival was introduced to the country during the Spanish period and continues to be celebrated by Filipinos all over the world.

Actually this is the first time happened sagala in our Village, because I requested to the entire officer to have a simple sagala, to feel the homeowners the happiness of fiesta. Because I am the in charge of this event, I already joined my little Vince :-). I also enjoyed the result because of the cooperation of the homeowners.

HAPPY VALENTINES DAY TO EVERYONE!

Valentines is a day to celebrate love, and it is celebrated in many countries around the world specially here in the Philippines. This occasion celebrates every 14th day of the month of February. I am so pleased when my godchild gave me a simple valentine’s heart design. This heart is simple with plastic cover, my godchild came at home early in the morning today, February 14. She makes mano po to me; mano po is a sign of respect to bring the back of the hand of an elder to one’s forehead or also known as a good manners. I’m so touched with her, because she remembered me during that time. Even i have no valentines presents with her. Anyway, happy valentines day to everyone! :-).

THE CHRISTMAS PARTY EXPERIENCE

I just want to share our high school Christmas party last December 30, 2012. Our venue is in the house of my Classmate. One of my close friends and I was also excited to prepare the party, because this is another time to see each other again for almost 10 years. We are excited to recall and to catch up the happy past and have fun with everyone else. Off course we have an exchange gift worth of 100 pesos to feel the happiness of Christmas party. Buy the way the party schedule start at 2pm, but I just wondered because we only have four to attend the party 🙁 !

Aside from that we also did the exchange gift although we only four. We don’t know how to celebrate the Christmas party, and then I decided to invite my classmate to watch the movie in SM Lucena. We agreed everyone to watch the one More Try movie starring Dingdong Dantes, Angel Locsin, Angelica Panganiban and Zanjo Marudo. After the movie we had eaten at the pizza hut. I said that we are succeeding to watch the movie but the Christmas party is not. I think we need to prepare early before Christmas and to have a good organize to make sure that the party is success.

SANTA CLAUS

Santa Claus is a symbol of Christmas. Santa Claus is an imaginary character that is in many Christmas stories from the famous Christmas poem like The Night before Christmas and Rudolph the Red Nosed Reindeer. Based on wikipedia Santa Claus, also known as Saint Nicholas, Father Christmas and simply “Santa”, is a figure with legendary, mythical, historical and folkloric origins who, in many western cultures, is said to bring gifts to the homes of the good children during the late evening and overnight hours of Christmas Eve, December 24.

Anyway, Christmas is my favorite holiday season, because Christmas is usually a time that family and friends get together, eat great food, talk about old times and having fun. Because the Christmas is coming my SIL bought many style of Santa Clause to sell her friends, neighbors etc. She gave me some pieces of Santa Clause to sell in my neighbors and friends. Each Santa Clause cost P390.00–P750.00. It’s made a paper machine and fiber glass. By the way, before I sell the cute Santa Clause I will take a photo in my display. Here are some photos taken:

Christmas Party with High School friends

Today is a “get together” or “Christmas party” Celebration with my high school friends. It is always a really nice time to catch up with great friends. It’s a party I couldn’t miss, because it was a Christmas party with my high schoolmate for almost 15 years it happens again right now. Although some other schoolmate was unable to attend due to schedule conflicts and distance, the majority and who’s available of us were able to come together. Some other friends bring here family to this party. Everyone brought gifts for the exchange gift. Exchange gift is important, for the reason that it is a part of Christmas party with play games and it is the part of fun.

We all are enjoying and thankful for the blessings and the times like what we have to see each other again to catch up. And recall the happy past we had and just be there and have fun with everyone else.

PREPARING FOR CHRISTMAS PARTY

We have a Christmas party celebration tomorrow. I could miss, because it was the first time Christmas party happens with my high schoolmate for almost 15 years from now. Everyone brought gifts for the exchange gift tomorrow. Exchange gift is important, for the reason that it is a part of Christmas party and it is the part of fun. Then I bought the gift for the said Christmas Party, I also tried to wrap my own. After that I will prepare the dessert; refrigerator cake for the party.

INGREDIENTS:

  • Broas bread
  • Nestle All-purpose Cream
  • AlaskaCondensed Milk
  • Fruit Mix (pineapple, papaya, apple) or other fruit toppings

PROCEDURES:

  1. Prepare the cream mixture by mixing all-purpose cream and condensed milk in a bowl
  2. Store the cream mix inside the refrigerator for at least 5-10 minutes (depends on the quantity of the cream mix)
  3. Place a layer of broas bread on a square or rectangular container leaving no space between each broas bread
  4. Spread the cream mix on top of the layer of broas bread
  5. Add another layer of broas bread and cream mix (just repeat procedures number 3 and 4 until you make 3-4 layers)
  6. Place the refrigerator cake inside the refrigerator and wait for another 5-10 minutes
  7. Add fruit toppings on the refrigerator cake
  8. Then it’s ready to serve chilled.

I hope our Christmas Party is fun. Have a wonderful Christmas and prosperous New Year to all!
